Visitor Rules

  • Visitors can only pick from public pick plots. Signs are posted.

  • No stepping on garden beds.

  • Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  • Please contact 911 in the case of an emergency.

  • Pets must be leashed at all times and picked up after

  • Visitors are prohibited after sundown.

  • Black bin is for trash. Green bin is for plants.

Gardener Rules

  • Must only pick from their own plot and public pick plots.

  • Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  • Please pick up after pets.

  • Please remember to turn off water hoses and wrap them up.

  • No entry after sundown.

  • Must maintain their personal plot. We have a long list of people with eyes on your plot.

  • Do not leave trash/plant discards on other beds or in the walkways.

  • Black bin is for trash. Green bin is for discarded plants.

  • Personal plot plants cannot fall into walkways.

  • No sunflowers, trees, or other large plants that would shade neighboring plots.

  • No toxic plants. To pets or humans.

  • MUST attend 3 workdays a year, or pay $50 to support garden upkeep.

  • Must pay yearly fee of $75 to keep plot.

  • Only organic fertilizers and pesticides may be used.

  • Please reach out to a board member if you cannot keep up with plot or need help.

  • Cannot sell garden produce on garden property.

What to Plant for November

Leafy greens:

Transplant kale, cabbage, lettuce, chard, spinach, collards, and mustard greens. You can also try specialty greens like arugula, mizuna, or radicchio. 

Cool-season vegetables:

Plant broccoli, cauliflower, shallots, garlic, and beets. Tomatoes can also do well in the fall.

What to Avoid

Toxic Plants are not allowed.

Here are a few to avoid:

Many bulbs such as amaryllis, daffodil, & tulips

Milkweed and butterfly weed

Hyacinth beans

Foxglove

Artemesia

Rue
